I went to a drug store to get ダン蔵’s drug. The opening time was shortened because of Coronavirus. However, I grateful that they still open their shop. If he couldn’t have his drugs, it would be a crucial problem for him.
The shop person looks a little tired. But, they are so nice and said to me How’s Mr. ダン蔵? take care! stay safe! and say hi to Mr. ダン蔵 for me! Amazing people are working there. I am very lucky to have their kindness and care.
The drug store is only one-stop via subway. On the way there, I used the subway. But, on the way back, I walked. Because subway station has many homeless people gather together. It shows me the city doesn’t work as usual. I didn’t see any policemen. It rains today. The Broadway was empty. I could see cherry blossoms under the church in the distance. The cherry blossoms remind me of the hazy paintings by Higashiyama Kaii. But, my favorite cherry blossoms paintings are Kayama Matazo. His mysterious paintings are outrageous.
This is such a beautiful painting by Kayama Matazo thank you for sharing his work .
Your post today reflects so much the care and love shown in your beautiful art project, ‘Fire Works On Paper’, when you burnt 香 ko -incense sticks into his prescription bags, and present them in a glass case- I admire it both for its spiritual aspect and prayers for a long life… I’m so fortunate to have a box to be reminded of you both always.
Dear Pamela,
Yes, Kayama Matazo gave his soul into his paintings. His paintings have sublime beauty.
And I often think about how I am a lucky person that I could meet a person I genuinely love.
